The distributor is responsible for setting a recommended age limit, and ensuring that all content in the videogram is suited to this age group (including trailers and advertising). The age limit should not be lower than the age limit set by the Norwegian Media Authority for the film when it was shown in cinemas.
The following age limits apply for sale and rental:
All ages
7 years
11 years
15 years
18 years
Selling or renting films to persons under the age limit on the videogram is not permitted.
The minimum age for anyone selling or renting videograms is 18 years.
